Equipment Rental Policy
Rules for renting equipment from our catalog — cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, audio, and set. These apply alongside the main Booking Policy and House Rules.

1. Rental period
One rental day = 24 hours from pickup. A 12-hour shoot day counts as a full rental day. Weekly rentals run 7 consecutive days.
Rental starts at the agreed pickup or delivery time. Rental ends when the equipment is returned to the studio (for pickup rentals) or collected by our driver (for delivery rentals).
2. Pickup and delivery
- Pickup at the studio is free. Equipment is inspected together with the customer at pickup and return — both parties sign a checklist.
- Delivery within Dubai is available at a flat fee (disclosed at checkout). Delivery and collection are scheduled inside the standard booking window.
- Delivery outside Dubai may be arranged on request at quoted rates.
3. ID and verification
- A valid government ID is required at pickup: Emirates ID, passport, or UAE driver’s license. We scan and retain a copy for the duration of the rental.
- For corporate rentals, a company trade license and authorized-representative ID are required.
- A credit or debit card must be presented in the renter’s name for the damage deposit authorization.
4. Damage deposit
- A damage depositis held against each rental. The amount is calculated from each item’s replacement value and disclosed at checkout.
- The deposit is held via a card authorization — not charged — and released within 3–5 business days of a clean return.
- For high-value kits (cameras, lenses over AED 10,000), the deposit may be collected rather than authorized. Returned via bank transfer or card credit on return.
5. Inspection and condition
- Every rental item is photographed and checked before pickup. Any pre-existing condition issues are noted on the rental sheet.
- At return, items are inspected in the customer’s presence. Differences between pickup and return condition are documented with photos.
- Minor cosmetic wear from normal use is not charged for. Functional damage, missing parts, or physical impact damage are charged as below.
6. Damage and replacement
- Repairable damage is billed at the repair cost quoted by the authorized service center. Invoice copies are shared with the customer.
- Unrepairable damage or total lossis billed at the item’s replacement value (retail MSRP) as disclosed at rental.
- Missing accessories (battery, cable, adapter, lens cap, filter, case) are billed at their standalone replacement cost.
- Water damage, impact damage, and sensor damage are not covered by normal wear provisions and are fully chargeable to the renter.
7. Late returns
- 0–4 hours late: 15% of the daily rate, per hour.
- 4–12 hours late:one additional day’s rate.
- 12+ hours late: additional days at the standard daily rate, charged until return.
- Items not returned within 7 days of the agreed return date are considered lost and charged at full replacement value.
8. Lost or stolen equipment
- Loss or theft must be reported to Innovex immediately and to Dubai Police within 24 hours. A police report number is required for claims.
- The renter is liable for the full replacement value of lost or stolen items.
- We strongly recommend production-level insurance for rentals valued over AED 10,000.
9. Insurance
- Innovex carries premises and transport insurance for equipment while it is in our possession.
- Once equipment leaves our facility, it is the renter’s responsibility. We do not carry off-premises insurance for equipment during a rental.
- Clients are encouraged to carry their own production insurance. On request, we can introduce partner insurance providers in Dubai.
10. Usage
- Equipment is rented for the stated production purpose. Sub-renting to third parties is not permitted.
- Use in extreme conditions (heavy rain, sandstorms, saltwater, extreme heat) is at the renter’s risk and liability.
- Modifications, disassembly, repairs, or firmware changes are not permitted. Items damaged by unauthorized modification are fully chargeable.
11. Cancellation (equipment rental)
- More than 48 hours before pickup: full refund of any deposit paid.
- Within 48 hours of pickup: 50% of the rental total retained.
- Day of pickup / no-show: full rental fee retained (applies to specifically-reserved items like high-value cameras and cinema lenses).
12. Accessories and consumables
- Memory cards, batteries, and consumables are supplied charged and formatted. Please return them in the same state.
- Consumables (gels, gaffer tape, bulbs) are billed if used.
13. Technical support
- Quick-start guidance is included with each pickup.
- On-site technician support during a shoot is available at AED 150/hour.
