Insurance & Liability

1. What Innovex covers

• Premises liability — third-party injury caused by the building, fixtures, or staff negligence on our property.
• Studio equipment — fire, theft, and electrical damage to our owned studio equipment (lighting, sound, AV, grip) while in the facility.
• Rental equipment in transit — equipment we deliver to your location is covered during our transit only. Coverage ends at handover.

2. What Innovex does not cover

• Your equipment brought into the studio for your shoot. Bring what you need at your own risk.
• Content, files, or media produced during your booking. Back up your footage frequently — we do not back up client content.
• Your talent, crew, or guests — anyone you bring into the space is your responsibility. You should carry production insurance covering your crew and talent.
• Rental equipment off-premises — once rental items leave our facility with you, they are your responsibility (see the Equipment Rental Policy).
• Damage caused by client, crew, or talent actions — billed to the card on file at repair or replacement cost.

3. Damage caused by clients

Damage to Innovex property during a booking is the client’s responsibility regardless of fault, unless caused by equipment failure or staff error on our side.

Repair is billed at the quoted cost from the original supplier or authorized service center. Unrepairable damage is billed at replacement cost.

Please notify staff immediately when damage occurs. Transparent reporting keeps charges reasonable; concealed damage uncovered at handover is billed at a higher fault rate.

4. Recommended insurance for clients

For commercial shoots over AED 20,000 in total production value, we strongly recommend carrying:

• Public liability insurance covering your crew and talent on third-party property.
• Equipment insurance for your own cameras, lenses, and gear.
• Rental insurance when renting high-value items from our catalog. Optional; if absent, the renter is personally liable for full replacement value.

We can introduce Dubai-based insurance providers on request.

5. Health & safety

• The studio is maintained to a safe operating standard. Equipment is tested regularly. Power, ventilation, and fire systems are certified.
• Clients using lighting at full output for extended periods must allow ventilation breaks. Our on-site assistant will advise.
• Heavy equipment rigging (ceiling-mounted lights, grip suspended loads) must be approved in advance and supervised by our team.
• In a medical emergency, call 998 (UAE ambulance) and notify staff immediately.

6. Force majeure

Innovex is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control — natural disasters, government-imposed closures, utility outages beyond our control, or extreme weather events.

In such events, bookings are rescheduled at no cost, or refunded in full if a reschedule is not possible within 90 days.

7. Indemnity

By using the studio, the client agrees to indemnify Innovex Studios against any claims arising from the client’s content, the conduct of their crew or talent, or their use of the space or rented equipment.

8. Disputes

Any disputes arising from a booking or rental are subject to UAE law and to the jurisdiction of Dubai courts.
